Formal Education

University of Winnipeg
Management Certificate, 2009 to 2010
Notes on activities: Human resource management and project management along with a history of Canadian politics were the main areas of this course. Reasons and meanings for why laws are written along with the associated policies and a respect for individual human rights was the general theme remembered most. It helped me appreciate the Rules of Golf more, the importance of accounting, and how much fun the game of golf can be.
Notes on experiences: The most remembered lesson from this course was how hard it is to sit as representatives for unions and owners in a mock setting and finalizing economic decisions in a timely manner. This was far more difficult than it seemed at first and especially after expressing personal values within large groups. Human Resource Management was a great way to learn the difficult nature of discreation from the management level to the individual rights perspective.

Industry Education

Notes on experiences: Currently working under Director of Operations, Brad Esler at ClubLink's Greenhills Golf Club. Brad's team has made for a great learning environment here in London. ClubLink is the perfect fit to get back into the field of sports, recreation, and leisure; And we are lucky enough to include tennis as the other main area of recreation in addition to our golf side activities.

Teaching Specialties & Techniques

Teaching players of all levels and experience is my passion. Watching golfers develop and improve always reminds me of why golf is such a great game. From the pure enjoyment of a good walk, sometimes spoiled, to the friendly competitions to the more serious natures of being the best we can be is always an interesting adventure from golfer to golfer. Remember to have fun, try your hardest, and keep on swinging!
