Built in 1958, Carrying Place is a friendly, but challenging golf course for all levels of ability. With 125 acres of gently rolling terrain, mature trees, manicured greens and over 11 acres of water hazards, this magnificent golf course measures 6350 yards from the back tees. We are conveniently located in scenic King, Ontario and only minutes from the 400 Highway.

Job Summary
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head Golf Professional as an integral part of the Golf Shop team. The candidate will support our team in executing the daily golf operations and providing excellent customer service to our Members and Guests.
  • Supervise the outside Golf Operations staff under the direction of the Head Golf Professional
  • Ensure tee sheet accuracy with regards to cart and guest charges
  • Carry out opening and closing details including till reconciliation
  • Process payments including Golf Shop purchases
  • Monitor pace of play regularly to ensure an enjoyable day for all golfers
  • Assist in organizing club events as well as outside corporate events
  • Ensure the Golf Shop is kept organized, tidy, and is always well presented
  • Administrative duties as assigned by the Head Professional
  • Highly motivated to learn and develop as a PGA of Canada Professional
  • Ability to work well in an individual and team setting
  • Reliable and dependable team member who is committed to the betterment of the Club
  • PGA Member in good standing
  • Outgoing and energetic personality
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Point of sale, computer, and cash handling skills
  • Experience with Buz software is an asset
  • Negotiable based on experience and qualifications
  • Five-day work weeks (this may vary during exceptionally busy weeks)

  • 90/10 split on teaching revenue
