Fall Championship
As an update to our membership, the 2026 Fall Championship, originally scheduled for September 8 & 9, was rescheduled following the significant storm damage sustained by Craigowan Golf Club last week.
We are pleased to confirm that the Championship will remain at Craigowan Golf Club and will now be contested on Monday, September 28 and Tuesday, September 29.
Tee times will begin at 9:00 AM both days, with the tee time format to be determined based on the final number of players.
While we recognize that a change in dates may be disappointing and may impact some players’ availability, our priority is to ensure Craigowan Golf Club has the necessary time to recover from the storm and that we are able to provide our members with the championship experience they deserve.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION
With the Championship moving to new dates, we are providing those who were originally registered with the opportunity to maintain their place in the field, while also reopening registration to the broader PGA of Ontario membership.
The deadline for all registration decisions and new registrations is Sunday, September 20 at midnight.
ORIGINALLY REGISTERED PLAYERS
If you were registered for the original Fall Championship dates, your place in the field will be held until Sunday, September 20 at midnight.
All originally registered players have the option to:
- Remain in the Championship and compete on September 28 & 29; or
- Withdraw from the Championship and receive a full refund.
All originally registered players must email Kristine Schmidt by Sunday, September 20 at midnight to confirm whether they intend to remain in the Championship or withdraw.
We wanted to provide the original field with as much time as possible to adjust schedules and make alternate arrangements before deciding whether they are able to compete on the new dates.
If no contact is made with Kristine, participants will be removed and refunded following the September 20th deadline.
REGISTRATION REOPENED TO ALL MEMBERS
We also recognize that the new dates may create an opportunity for members who were unable to participate in the Championship as originally scheduled.
As a result, registration is now reopened until Sunday, September 20 at midnight.
Please be aware that field numbers will continue to fluctuate leading up to the September 20 deadline as players from the original field confirm their participation or withdraw.
If you were not part of the original field and the registration page is showing that the Championship is full, please contact Kristine Schmidt to have your name added to the waitlist. As spots become available, we will contact the waitlist accordingly.
We appreciate your patience, understanding, and flexibility as we work through the logistics of rescheduling the Championship. Our goal is to give our original registrants a fair opportunity to make arrangements for the new dates, while also opening the door to members who may now be available to participate.
