PGA of Ontario Event Yardages

 
SPRING, FALL & TOUR CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • Open to all PGA of Ontario Members in good standing - 36-hole stroke play with no cut from a maximum of 6,600 yards.
  • SENIORS' DIVISION (OPEN) – This division will play the same yardage as the open field from a maximum of 6,600 yards.
  • DIAMOND DIVISION (70+) This division will be contested from a maximum of 5,900 yards.
  • WOMEN’S DIVISION – This division will be contested from a maximum of 5,900 yards.
  • All divisions require three entrants or more.  Diamond division registrants can move into the Senior’s division or withdraw and receive a refund. A woman may choose to enter the Women’s division (18 holes) or enter the Championship (36 holes) and play at 75-85% of the total yardage.
  • Reduced Yardage Guidelines For Women Participating in Events With Men in accordance with the PGA of Canada guidelines

 

PGA OF ONTARIO ZONE CHAMPIONSHIP

  • The PGA of Ontario Zone Championship will be contested from a maximum of 6,800 yards.
  • A woman can enter the Ontario Zone Championship and play at 75-85% of the total yardage

 

SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

  • SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP & 60+ DIVISION – This event will be contested from a maximum of 6,600 yards.
  • DIAMOND DIVISION – This division will be contested from a maximum of 5,900 yards.  

 

ASSISTANTS’ CHAMPIONSHIP

  • The PGA of Ontario Assistants’ Championship will be contested from a maximum of 6,900 yards  
  • A woman can enter the Assistants' Championship and play at 75-85% of the total yardage

 

WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP

  • The Women’s Championship will be contested from a maximum of 5,900 yards.
  • The Senior Women’s Championship (50+) will be contested using a Stableford format from a maximum of 5,900 yards.  

 

MATCH PLAY

  • Both players must agree upon which tee markers to play. Failing an agreement, matches must be played from a maximum of 6,500 yards.   

 

CHAPTER FOUR-BALL

  • Both teams must agree upon which tee markers to play. Failing an agreement, matches must be played from a maximum of 6,500 yards.  Women and Seniors 60+ may play from a maximum of 6,100 yards.

 

PRO/PRO TEAM SERIES

  • Men, 59 Under 6,500 yards maximum
  • Men, 60+ 6,300 yards maximum
  • Women, 59 and Under 6,000 yards maximum  
  • Women, 60+ 5,800 maximum

 

HEAD PRO/ASSISTANT PRO TEAM SERIES (6-6-6)

  • Men, 59 Under 6,500 yards maximum
  • Men, 60+ 6,300 yards maximum
  • Women, 59 and Under 6,000 yards maximum  
  • Women, 60+ 5,800 yards maximum

 

SENIOR PRO/JUNIOR PRO TEAM SERIES

  • Men, 59 Under 6,500 yards maximum
  • Men, 60+ 6,300 yards maximum
  • Women, 59 and Under 6,000 yards maximum  
  • Women, 60+ 5,800 yards maximum

 

MIXED TEAM SERIES

  • Men, 59 Under 6,500 yards maximum
  • Men, 60+ 6,300 yards maximum
  • Women, 59 and Under 6,000 yards maximum  
  • Women, 60+ 5,800 yards maximum

 

FALL SCRAMBLE TEAM SERIES

  • Men, 59 Under 6,800 yards maximum
  • Men, 60+ 6,500 yards maximum
  • Women, 59 and Under 6,000 yards maximum  
  • Women, 60+ 5,800 yards maximum

 

PRO JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP – STABLEFORD NET & GROSS

  • 6,475 yards - Professional (Men), Junior Boys U19 and Juvenile Boys U17
  • 6,163 yards- Professional (Women), Bantam Boys U15, Junior Girls U19 & Juvenile Girls U17
  • 5,276 yards - Peewee Boys U13, Bantam Girls U15 & Peewee Girls U13
