Assistant Golf Professional: Muskoka Bay Resort

Muskoka Bay Resort is looking for a highly motivated Assistant Golf Professional for the 2026 golf season, and beyond. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Golf Professional Team and be given an opportunity to develop professionally and overview a key aspect of our offerings at the club. Muskoka Bay Resort was ranked #21 in Canada by top 100 golf courses and the #10 ranked public course in Ontario by ScoreGolf in 2025.

Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Director of Golf. The job description below is not intended to be exhaustive lists of all responsibilities, skills or efforts associated with or expected of the role but are intended to accurately reflect principal job elements.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Providing best in class service to all members and guests
  • Coordinate, support, and assist with daily golf operations, including all member and corporate events
  • Supervise the outside golf services team daily, opportunity to assist in scheduling
  • Be a key contributor and facilitator of our extensive teaching offerings at the Resort
  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of Golf Shop operations: merchandising, inventory controls, tee time management and accurate sales processing.
  • Opportunity to lead the operations of a weekly league, corporate events, kids’ camps, or inventory management, based on experience and competencies.
Qualifications
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who takes initiative and responsibility
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • A PGA of Canada member in good standing, or working towards membership
  • Post-secondary education or Professional Golf Management designation, or working towards
  • Computer literate Re: POS systems, Word, Excel, and Golf Genius
  • Proven organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Teaching experience considered an asset
Compensation
  • Ranging from $19-24/hour, commensurate with experience
  • PGA of Canada Dues covered
  • Commission compensation including; 80% of lesson, camp, & clinic revenue.
  • PGA Staff Equipment package potentially available
