Assistant/Associate Professional
Huron Oaks Golf Club in Bright’s Cove, Ontario is looking for an Associate Professional or Assistant for employment during the 2022 season with an opportunity for up to 12 months employment.
Beginning about 1915, the Canadian beer baron John Labatt and family built a summer residence including a 6-hole golf course on the shores of Lake Huron. Over the next 60 years and through a variety of owners, the facility grew until it became a full 18 holes. In 1975, the Polysar Employees Recreational Club acquired ownership added a new clubhouse/recreation center and renamed it Huron Oaks. Very shortly after one of Canada’s finest touring professionals, Mike Weir joined the club as a young golfer and spent most of his junior career playing and practicing at the course. In 2003, Weir won the Masters Championship at Augusta National Golf Club. Also, in 2003, new owners took control of the club and embarked on a major redesign that saw several new holes built and an 80 unit residential development. In 2009, a new Pro shop building replaced the old one. The future is very bright for Huron Oaks as plans include a new 9 hole executive course an adjacent property.

We have a very active membership making plenty of use of our driving range, pitching green and practice putting green. We also have operate a winter indoor golf school which has two About Golf Simulators for member or public use.
