Job Summary
We are looking for a career-driven individual passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, semi-private golf course environment. We are seeking a dedicated professional eager to advance their career and eventually step into a Head Professional role. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of all aspects of Golf Operations and have a strong desire to learn and grow within the industry. This position offers the opportunity to manage and operate all facets of Golf Operations while building meaningful relationships with our members, guests, and tournament participants. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their career, contribute to an exceptional golf experience, and make a meaningful impact on the success of our Golf Operations Department.
Responsibilities
  • Hire all 2025 Golf Services staff.
  • Train and schedule Pro Shop and Back Shop staff.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive training manual for new employees.
  • Ensure all necessary employment paperwork is completed and submitted to the General Manager.
  • Receive, record, and manage Pro Shop inventory.
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Plan, organize, and execute tournaments, member events, small groups, and leagues.
  • Work closely with the Volunteer (Marshals, Starters and Bag Drop) Coordinator and staff to deliver successful events.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to Pro Shop and Back Shop staff.
  • Update and maintain the tee sheet, including tournament schedules, member events, small groups, and leagues.
  • Monitor tee sheet throughout the day, match twosomes, manage squeeze times, and ensure all golfers check in at the Pro Shop.
  • Perform end-of-day (EOD) procedures and bank deposits for the Golf Services Department.
  • Ensure cash floats are accurate.
  • Foster a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all.
  • Strictly enforce the employee dress code (staff shirt, staff hat, and name tag).
  • Support initiatives to enhance the overall golf experience.
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada member in good standing.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Positive, outgoing personality with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proficient with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office platforms.
  • Committed to working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Retail sales experience is considered an asset.
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $900 - $1,050 per week, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Lesson Revenue Sharing: 75% to the Instructor, 25% to the Facility.
  • Additional Income Opportunities:
    • Food and Beverage tips earned through simulator operations.
    • Winter revenue potential from indoor golf simulator activities.
