Wooden Sticks is proud to be recognized as one of the finest golf facilities in Ontario. A destination golf club, we are passionate about providing an exceptional golf experience to everyone that visits. We are searching for an individual that can share that passion and join our dedicated team of Industry Professionals.

A true destination, Wooden Sticks offers on-site accommodations for up to 40 guests in our 10 beautifully appointed cabins, with Stay and Play packages that are extremely popular.

Our facility is open year round, with very active dining, banquet and retail operations.  We also have 2 simulator bays that are open throughout the off-season, as well as groomed trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking.

Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Golf and Professional Team with the day to day operations of the club as well as lead, teach, coach and inspire a team of service-focused staff that are passionate about ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
  • Hiring, training and scheduling of Golf Services Staff
  • Coach and mentor all golf staff to ensure the club is consistently maintaining exceptional service standards
  • Assist HP and Retail Manager in day-to-day Proshop operations, including sales reconciliation, inventory control and Custom equipment/special orders
  • Assist in preparation and execution of corporate events
  • Tracking daily pace of play and subsequent player interactions
  • Overseeing Men’s League program and sponsors
  • Overseeing indoor Golf Simulator activity (off-season)
  • Club fitting and club repair
  • Maintain and develop Teaching program
  • Cart Fleet and Rental Club Management/Maintenance
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada Class “A” or Apprentice designation or post-secondary education in golf management and/or business management.
  • Highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at one time.
  • Positive, professional attitude and a team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic and interactive with the ability to work as part of a team as well as showing individual initiative
  • Previous experience in the high-end public/destination golf club environment is considered a strong asset
  • Club Fitting Certification and excellent equipment knowledge
  • Proficient with Golf Genius tee sheet/scoring system
  • Proficient with Trackman systems
  • Proficient with TagMarshal GPS tracking system
  • Tournament operations experience is an asset
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts (early morning, afternoon, evenings) including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation
  • Competitive wages--commensurate with experience 
  • 80% of lesson and club fitting revenue
