Shortly after opening its doors Lora Bay has hosted prestigious events such as the Telus World Skins Game, Wayne Gretzky’s Nationwide events, and the PGA of Canada’s Assistants Championship. Designed by Thomas McBroom and Tom Lehman, the golf course provides the perfect setting nestled between the shores of Georgian Bay and the Niagara Escarpment. Tee decks ranging from 5,100 to 7,100 yards, we are expertly designed to incorporate the natural terrain, providing spectacular views while challenging players of all levels.

As our customers first point of contact, the Associate/Assistant Golf Professional will assist with the operation and supervision of all aspects involving a traditional golf department at a Semi-Private Course and uphold the club’s vision and mission as determined by the Managing Director.
- Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Meet and greet members and guests as they arrive.
• Ensure superior service levels of customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure that all golf shop merchandise is properly displayed, that adequate stock levels are maintained.
• Log and track rental club inventory on a daily basis.
• Provide and maintain merchandising and cleanliness standards for the Pro Shop.
• Tee sheet management, reservations/inputting/monitoring.
• Managing Staff - Back Shop/Driving Range.
• Operation of League Programs, Men’s & Ladies
• Performing golf club repairs (re-gripping)
• Assist in organization and execution of annual club events
• Report to Head Golf Professional on any daily operational issues/challenges.

• Strong supervisory skills

• Must excel in customer service
• Proven organizational skills and an attention to detail

GUEST SERVICE
• Provides guest service to external contacts, guests who are golfing at Lora Bay Golf Club, as well as internal contacts, in coordinating activities of golf professional staff.

• Outside as required in a variety of weather conditions.
- Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills)
• Diploma/Degree in related field
• Member of the PGA of Canada in good standing
• Ability to operate a computer and POS system
• Prior experience in golf operations and golf genius is an asset

• Minimum $850/week based on experience
• 80% of lesson revenue
• Contract completion bonus
