OTTAWA –-Golf’s premier buying group is conducting a national search for a seasoned business professional to manage its multi-million dollar business, the group’s President Board of Directors announced Monday September 18.
BPG is committed to an extensive and open search process to find the most qualified candidates. “Thanks to a very competent head office team, we were able to delay this search until after the peak of golf season in order to allow us time to find the best people to fill this challenge.”
“We owe it to our members, our staff, our business partners and our stakeholders to ensure this search is conducted with integrity, professionalism, thoroughness and openness,” he said.
BPG has retained the services of a strategic human resource team that for 20-years has specialized in golf, clubs, modern sports leadership, and the non-profit sector.
McKinley Solutions will conduct the search and screen potential applicants for consideration by the Board of Directors. “They will provide us a list of candidates who best meet professionally defined and demanding credentials,” the President said.

“This is a large and stable organization owned and managed by the golf professionals we serve. Our role is to ease the day-to-day management burden for golf professionals, reduce their overheads and provide access to the best products in golf at very competitive prices,” Crebbin, who is also the Director of Golf at Oakdale Golf and Country Club, added. “Our ability to negotiate and manage the superior partnership agreements with leading suppliers to Canada’s golf industry is critical to the successful operations of our members.”

The Executive Director will execute and maintain a strategic plan and work closely with the Board of Directors, members, business partners and staff to build upon its phenomenal success over the last 43 years.
- Qualifications

Proven communication and interpersonal skills along with demonstrated knowledge of finance, human resources, technology, governance and PGA partnerships, are critical success assets for this role.
They possess at least one university level business degree and is a consummate executive who understands business and the unique interpersonal dynamics of golf management and association environments.
