The successful applicant will be a positive, energetic and enthusiastic individual, looking to provide members and guests with superior service and a memorable club experience. He or she will be a key member of our Professional Staff and will assist in daily supervision of the Golf Operations team, event planning and execution, promoting merchandise sales, golf instruction (private lessons, clinics and junior programs), and fitting golf equipment as required.
Period of employment mid March 2021 – mid November 2021
- Responsibilities
-
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Providing an exceptional level of member and guest service
- Assist in training, supervision and coordination of daily activities and duties of the Golf Operations team
- Effectively monitor tee reservations, pace of play and daily sales (Pro Shop inventory)
- Monitor retail inventory, assist with ordering, receiving, and merchandising
- Ensure the Pro Shop and Golf Operations areas are kept in a clean and organized manner
- Conduct opening and closing procedures as required daily
- Assist and oversee Club Events, as well as all Men’s and Women’s League play
- Provide private lessons, assist with clinics and junior programs / camps
- Club Repair – basic club repair and maintenance as required.
- Assist in the creation and execution of instructional program
- Available weekends and holidays
- Maintain a well respected and professional image within the Club, the industry and the community
- All other duties as assigned or required
- Qualifications
-
- PGA of Canada Member or Apprentice Member in good standing. (aspiring professionals as well)
- Ability to work well in an individual and team setting
- Strong Customer Service, organizational skills and attention to detail is paramount
- Outgoing and energetic personality, who is highly motivated and has a strong desire to grow as a Golf Professional
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate, experience with Tee-On Club Management software and Golf Genius software would an asset.
