- Job Summary
- The Head Golf Professional is responsible for assisting the Executive Golf Professional with managing and overseeing all elements of the Club's golf-related activities resulting in an exceptional overall golf experience for Club members and guests. He/she also coordinates top quality individual and group instruction to members and guests.
- Responsibilities

- .Opening and closing of the Golf shop and ensuring all other golf departments are open or closed in accordance with club policy.
- Assists with recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation golf department staff
- Responsible for the scheduling of shifts for golf department staff
- Develop, plan and assists with league coordination, tournaments and special events.
- Responsible for buying, merchandising, inventory controls and promotions in the Golf shop
- Maintains and coordinates an attractive, orderly appearance in and around the pro shop, practice facilities and other golf related areas to create a high-quality environment.
- Oversees the Golf Academy and Winter Golf School
- Devotes a reasonable amount of time to play golf with members of all genders and skill levels.
- Maintains playing ability and works to stay competent in all areas of their game.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
- Implement cash and systems controls to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory and resources.
- Assist in the publication of newsletters, informational and promotional materials.
- Qualifications
-
- Class “A” member the of PGA of Canada in good standing
- Graduate of a post-secondary institution program specializing in Golf / business or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office
- Extensive knowledge of JONAS or other related point of sale and reservation systems
- Knowledge of Foresight Sports CG2 launch monitor and simulator or related product.
- Strong Club Fitting Skills is a necessity
- Ability to handle cash and credit and debit transactions
- Friendly and Outgoing personality
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willing and able to work a variety of shifts (Early mornings, mid-day, evenings, weekends and holidays)
- Experience with Golf Genius Software
- Compensation

- $60K in salary
- Up to $15k in bonus
- Receive 80% of teaching revenue in the summer. Receive 40% of winter academy lesson revenue.
