ABOUT BURLOAK INDOOR GOLF
Since 2020, Burloak Indoor Golf has become one of South Ontario’s top indoor golf facilities. Our commitment is to provide great service and provide the best possible golf experience for our members and guests. Game development including instruction is the foundation for what we do and club fitting remains an important part of that process.
Our business model brings members and guests into our facility to work on their game in our hitting nets, practice putting and chipping in our 1500 sq ft short game area, and enjoy simulator practice/play in our dedicated Trackman Bays. We promote 10 PGA staff professionals and offer comprehensive on-site repairs including grips, shaft and head installs, lie loft adjustments, and fittings. In addition to providing a place to play and practice golf, we also have a small retail area that includes golf clubs. Although we sell individual clubs and select sets off the shelf, we promote custom clubs and fittings bringing in master fitters from a handful of brands throughout the year to further enhance our existing fitting offering. Our in-house fitting is currently managed by Joe Lavery. Joe owned and operated Oakville Golf from 2003 - 2011.
As director of fitting, Joe also worked at Precision Golf and for Golftec until 2018. He is a certified Ping fitter at Ping Arizona and is also certified True Temper, Project X, Accra shaft fitting. The successful candidate will be working closely with Joe to transition into our fitting process.
- Responsibilities

• Provide new and existing members and guests with a fitting experience consistent with Burloak Indoor Golf service standards
• Demonstrate strong understanding of industry fitting practices and trends
• Fit golfers of varying skill levels from recreational golfers to competitive players
• Independently manage clients
• Effective communicator comfortable in person, over the phone, in writing including electronic communication. Interaction with clients will include prior to arriving at our facility, during their time in person, as well as any follow-up required
• Provide clients with fitting outcomes that effectively informs future club selections and invites sales
• When required, supporting the sale of clubs that are the result of fittings
• Manage the company’s fitting equipment working closely with our management team on further developing the service offering evaluating products as needed
• Understanding of golf business an asset
• Schedule based on demand and may require evening and weekend availability NOTE: There are opportunities to provide instruction if a qualified candidate is interested. This is not an expectation of this position but is recognized as an opportunity and is up for further discussion.
- Qualifications

• PGA of Canada member in good standing
• Minimum 3 years industry experience
• Excellent customer service record and experience
• Possess a strong understanding of the golf swing and how it impacts fitting golf equipment for all players and ability
• Prior use of a launch monitor is preferred
