Inventory Manager
Job Overview:
Glen Abbey Golf Club is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Manager who will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of our retail operation. This role is integral to promoting Member and guest satisfaction, a safe and healthy work environment, and maximizing sales through efficient inventory management and effective space utilization.
- Responsibilities
-
- Manage the flow of inventory from the backroom to the golf shop floor, including receiving, accounting, and handling of merchandise through our Palette system.
- Collaborate with the Head Golf Professional and Event Coordinator to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely turnover.
- Plan, promote, and market products, ensuring a clean, attractive golf shop with appealing and organized product displays.
- Conduct monthly inventory counts and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist the Professional staff and Event Coordinator in planning with seasonal sales strategies, and coordinate merchandise preparation for corporate events and golf tournaments.
- Qualifications

- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a golf or retail setting.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, specifically Palette, and computer literacy with P.O.S. systems, Word, and Excel.
- A background in golf or a strong interest in pursuing a career as a golf professional is highly desirable.
