Job Summary

We are growing and currently seeking a Teaching Professional that will join our team of PGA Professionals.

This is a unique entrepreneurial opportunity for the successful candidate and build their business and brand.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

  • The successful candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic while being committed to long term career development within the industry.
  • The candidate will manage their personal instruction programs at the facility, taking personal responsibility for delivering profitable coaching programs that is of a consistently high standard and exceeds the needs and expectations of the club/facility, members, and clients.
  • The successful candidate will report to the Director of Instruction and will steer the development of their own entrepreneurial opportunities.

The instruction area at Whistle Bear is one of the leading facilities in Canada for lessons, fitting, and golf clinics. We have a 12-acre practice range which services club members and instruction clients. Our practice facility consists of a 45,000-square foot bent grass tee deck along with 40 artificial turf hitting stations for early season practice. There are 7 target greens, a short game area with 5 target greens, a chipping green with green side sand traps, plus a putting green for fitting and instruction.

Qualifications

We seek a highly motivated business minded professional with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Qualifications must include:

• PGA of Canada Member in good standing

• Prior successful experience in the teaching and coaching field

• Demonstrated teaching background with a success driven attitude

• Competent playing ability

• Excellent marketing and social media skills

• High level of responsiveness with ability to set priorities in a fast-moving environment

• Experience with junior golf programming and camps

• Eligible to work in Canada

Compensation

Remuneration:

The successful candidate will be an independent contractor who will be operating their own business within our team. This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to begin their journey as an entrepreneur.

A percentage of your lessons will be returned to the facility as rent and use of the property.

This position comes with a high potential of earnings which will be discussed during the interview process. Although you will be responsible for developing your own client base, this position comes with a strong member base that supports programming, programming already in place you will oversee, access to WB’s database, and a strong team that will support your growth.

To kickstart your business you will oversee the following programs Junior Camp Program: 9 Weeks of Junior Camps with 25 participants each week SNAG junior programs Junior Boys & Girls Programs Several member programming available.
