We are currently looking for coaches in the east, central and west part of Toronto. We have 20 centres in Canada with plans to grow to 30 centres in the next three years.

Job Summary
We align with the PGA of Canada and PGA of America. Our facilities are PGA recognized instruction facilities. All coaches in Canada are PGA of Canada Members. We combine indoor and outdoor instruction employing over 600 PGA Professionals in 200 locations across North America. Over the past 25 years GOLFTEC has worked with players of all levels using state-of-the art motion analysis equipment, high speed digital video, launch monitors and other fact-based diagnosis tools.
Responsibilities

Positions include coaching individuals through lesson plans, assisting in daily operations, and taking an active role in merchandising of golf equipment. The majority of the lessons are individual one-on-one sessions, but clinics, short game, and playing lessons are also part of the GOLFTEC lesson program.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACTIVITIES

  • Coach and sell golf lesson plans to GOLFTEC students.
  • Use professional judgment and expertise to recommend lesson content, creating custom lesson plans based on playing and coaching expertise.
  • Recommend appropriate GOLFTEC services for each client (ex: TECFIT, playing lessons, short game lessons)
  • Attend GOLFTEC University in Denver, Colorado and become certified in GOLFTEC’s instructional process.
  • Take an active role in generating demand for lessons and sales.
  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities as requested, including improvement center promotions, local grass roots marketing efforts and community involvement.
  • Maintain GOLFTEC Improvement Center equipment in working order.
  • Sell additional Improvement Center services and merchandise such as golf club fittings and golf equipment.
  • Document each lesson given using Improvement Center systems
  • Perform daily opening functions for Improvement Center, including preparing GOLFTEC systems for use.
  • Perform daily closing functions for improvement centers.
  • Participate in continuing education to enhance skills (Distance Learning, PGA tests).
  • Any additional tasks requested by the Improvement Center Manager, City Manager or Assistant Manager to make the Improvement Center a successful operation.
Qualifications
  • Enthusiastic candidate required.
  • Teaching experience essential.
  • Custom club fitting, sales and customer service experience strongly preferred
Compensation
  • Up to $55,000.00 per year
  • Total cash compensation comes in the form of a semi monthly base salary, monthly commissions and teaching bonus in addition to annual sales bonuses.
  • **These compensation ranges represent the opportunity available and is based on previous teaching experience, and performance level.
