Mo'vember Mo'burpees

Mo'vember Mo'burpees

 Movember Challenge

Did you know that on average men die 6 years earlier than women? And for reasons that are largely preventable.

It’s for this reason the PGA of Ontario office, in conjunction with PGA member Nate Clingersmith of Horseshoe Resort, are inviting PGA members, families, facilities, and friends to a challenge of epic proportions: to raise funds for Movember and help prevent men from dying too young.

Money raised will help fund groundbreaking projects that support mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. We could be doing a whole lot of good for a whole lot of men.

How do you accept our challenge? Mo Your Own Way.

Support the Mo' movement in three simple steps:

Step 1: Sign-up (as an individual/facility)

Step 2: Join our team (PGA of Ontario)

Step 3: Share your page

Nate Clingersmith has started a Movember challenge where he is asking his fellow PGA of Ontario Professionals to trade birdies for burpees this Movember in support of Men's Health issues.

Nate is recommending that for every $10 you raise, you commit to doing one burpee in support of Movember at months end. Nate's target goal is to raise $1,000 for 100 burpees!

How this works:

Members create their own profile and then join PGA of Ontario’s team. Any donation members receive will then be tallied to our team and tracked by the individual as well.

Another option is to get your staff involved: Create a profile under your facility name so that no one has to Mo' on their own!

Movember has funded 1,250 game-changing health projects so far – but there are millions more fathers, partners, brothers, sons, and friends to reach. That’s where we come in.

So, can we count on your support? Together, we can change the face of men's health.

"Yes, burpees suck…but when doing them to raise money for programs, treatment and innovations in Men’s health, it makes it worth the pain."

As the season winds down, let's not forget about the importance of movement and physical well-being. Whether the motivation is mo'burpees, mo'jumping jacks, less screen-time, or even one less cigarette for every $10 raised, we encourage you to challenge your friends and colleagues with positive action.

Let's get creative to raise funds for a great cause while benefitting our mental and physical health in the process.
