PGA of Ontario Partners with Golf Ontario

We’re proud to share an exciting new initiative that brings our community together in support of a great cause.

The PGA of Ontario is partnering with Golf Ontario to take on the 1000 Ball Challenge — a province-wide fundraising campaign to grow and support the game of golf in Ontario. This partnership is an opportunity to make a lasting impact, and we’re calling on you to be a part of it.

Last month, the PGA of Ontario attended the 1000 Ball Challenge Kickoff event at Metro Golf Sportsplex in anticipation of this partnership announcement & we are thrilled the day is finally here to share this with you all!

Why We're Doing It

The funds raised will support the creation and development of a PGA of Ontario bursary dedicated to empowering PGA professionals and fostering the growth of golf across the province. Managed by the PGA of Ontario committee, this bursary will provide financial assistance and educational opportunities to both aspiring and current PGA professionals.

The initiative aims to enhance their skills, expand their knowledge, and actively promote inclusivity within the sport. By investing in the growth and development of PGA professionals, we seek to ensure that golf in Ontario continues to thrive and remains accessible to all.

Through this partnership, 80% of all funds raised by our efforts will go directly toward this PGA of Ontario bursary, while the remaining 20% supports Golf Ontario’s Golf For All Fund — which helps expand access to the game across communities and backgrounds.

How it works: For every $20 donation made to your fundraising page or to someone on the PGA of Ontario team, the donor receives one entry into the raffle.
