Schedule of events, pairings and results
The PGA of Canada heads back to Atlantic Canada for the 55th playing of the PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf. Multiple past champions are in the field, along with many Zone champions looking to add their names to the trophy.
Let’s take a deep dive into what players are in store for this week.
The ‘Details’ of the Week
- Three of the four players from the PGA of Canada’s Four Nation’s Cup team are in the field. Yohann Benson, Craig Stefureak and Mitchell Fox are just a few weeks removed from helping Canada claim the trophy.
- Yohann Benson won this event in 2023, while Stefureak won the PGA Championship of Canada earlier this summer.
- Defending champion Wes Heffernan looks to become the first back-to-back winner of the event since Marc-Etienne Bussieres in 2017-2018.
- The InterZone Championship takes place over the first 36 holes of the event. The PGA of British Columbia claimed the trophy last year after three consecutive Alberta victories.
- No stranger to big events, Oakfield Golf & Country Club hosted the HFX Pro-Am in 2019, where Lorens Chan posted a 72-hole score of -24 to beat runner-up Jake Knapp and third-place finisher Taylor Pendrith.
- The tournament scorecard can be found here.
- Keep your eyes on the PGA of Canada’s Instagram account, where we will keep you apprised of all the action.
- The par-5 12th hole has been chosen as the ‘E-Z-GO ‘It’s Good to Go’ hole of the week. All players who make eagle on the par 5 throughout the week will be put into a draw for a $250 cash prize.
The leaderboard will be available throughout the week here.
