The PGA of Ontario Remembers Michael Mahrt

We are saddened to share the passing of PGA of Ontario Class "A" Life Professional, Mr. Michael 'Mike' Mahrt (1961-2024).

Michael passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the St. Peter's Hospital, Hamilton. Mike Mahrt of Hamilton and formerly of St. Williams, in his 64th Year.

Beloved husband of Carol (Martin) Mahrt whom he married May 15, 1982. Dear father of Sarah (Matthew Leyland) of Hamilton and Brandon (Courtney Brown) of Beamsville. Sadly missed by his granddaughters Lily, Vera and Carolyn.

Predeceased by his parents Willy (1971) & Trudy (2006) (Stutz) Marht, step-father, Jack Hazelwood (2007), and his brother Uwe (1995).

Mike was a PGA of Canada/Ontario Life Professional and the owner/operator of the Mike Mahrt Golf Academy and Driving Range in St. Williams from 2000 until 2021.

Relatives and friends will be received in the Jeffrey W Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Rd. Port Rowan on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 12:00 pm until the time of the service in the Clark Chapel at 2:00 pm. Inurnment in Bayview Cemetery, Port Rowan.
