The PGA Remembers Life Professional, Mr. Robert "Bob" Rose

We are saddened to share the passing of PGA of Ontario Class "A" Life Professional, Mr. Robert "Bob" Rose (1939-2023).

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Robert “Bob” Rose on Monday, May 15, 2023. Beloved husband of the recently deceased Kathy Rose. He will be missed by family Irene, Joanne, and Mariella; friends Jim, Dave, Wendy, Jackie (the late Hugh), Dorothy (the late Alan), Nancy, and Rod, and many other golfing buddies.

Bob was an amazing golfer with a smooth swing. He was the Head Professional at Beverly Golf and Country Club for 25 years, a 50-plus year “Class A” member of the PGA of Canada, a three-time Canadian Seniors’ Champion, winner of more than 140 tournaments, and held 11-course records. One of these was a spectacular 57 on his home course. He influenced two generations of golfers through his teaching and by example.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with the memorial service at 12:00 noon at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King Street East, Dundas, ON. (additional parking at the Air Force Club). Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, 700 Spring Gardens Road, Hamilton, ON.

Contributions in Bob’s name to your favourite charity would be appreciated.
