Class "A" Assistant Professional of the Year

 

The PGA of Ontario Class "A" Assistant Professional of the Year Award is crafted to honour a professional working diligently in the golf industry, embodying the comprehensive service ethos of club professionals. It is bestowed upon a Class "A" Assistant Professional whose collective efforts model excellence to their fellow professionals. 

CLASS "A" ASSISTANT PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR AWARD GUIDELINES:

  • Demonstration of outstanding qualities of leadership
  • Demonstration of outstanding customer service
  • Well‑regarded as a role model to other PGA of Ontario Class "A" Assistant Professionals working at golf courses
  • Class "A" Assistant Professional working in a pro shop at the golf course – must start the year in the category

CLASS "A" ASSISTANT PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR AWARD CRITERIA:

Criteria to Measure

  • Overall performance as a Class "A" Assistant Professional at a golf course
  • Service to the Zone and the Association
  • Leadership ability
  • Image and ability to inspire fellow Golf Professionals
  • Promotion and growth of the game of golf

Selection Process

  • The nomination should be based on the Class "A" Assistant Professional's entire past experience and commitment to continuing one's contributions and assistance
  • Achievements during the past year should be emphasized
  • The PGA of Ontario Awards Committee will select a recipient based on the criteria

Eligible Categories

  • Eligible Class "A" Membership Categories: Assistant Professional, Associate Professional in good standing
  • This award is intended to recognize a Class "A" Assistant or Associate Golf Professional working in a Golf Shop at a golf course or club
  • Apprentice Professionals will not be eligible

NOTE:

All nominees MUST have a current Police Record Check (within the last three years) through ISB Global (OneBadge). If you completed the Police Record Check with ISB Global as part of the OneBadge process within the last three years, no further action is required.

Please note: Results of the Police Record Checks are sent to Darcy Kral, the PGA of Canada's Privacy Officer, who will confirm receipt with the PGA of Ontario.
 
If you have NOT completed the Police Record Check as part of the OneBadge process, please follow the below steps to complete it:
 
Steps to log into your ISB Global Services (One Badge) account with the PGA of Canada:

1. Go to https://cp.dashboard.isbordercenter.com/login

2. Enter your username and password.

  • Username: Your name, for example, JohnDoe
  • Password: whatever you changed it to
     
  • A 6-digit code will be emailed to your email address on your PGA account. Enter this code to log in.
  • Forgot your password? You can reset it at https://cp.dashboard.isbordercenter.com/forgot-password

3. Click on My Tasks

4. Under Mobile Identity Box - Complete your Police Record Check with oneBADGEsport using your phone. Use the photo app to access the link from the QR Code and complete the check itself on your phone.

* It could take up to 3 business days to obtain the results.
