CoachNow Coach of the Year
The CoachNow Coach of the Year Award recognizes a PGA of Ontario Professional who excels as a coach within the PGA of Ontario community. This distinction is rooted in a professional's overall coaching prowess, pioneering coaching programs, published works, and their impact on exceptional golfers they have guided.
COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD GUIDELINES:
- Recognized as an outstanding coach among the ranks of the PGA of Ontario membership
- Initiation and/or implementation of unusual, innovative, and/or special coaching programs
- Publication of articles, books, magazines, etc. is an asset
COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD CRITERIA:
Criteria to Measure
- Preference will be given to nominees who are trained or certified within Golf's National Coach Certification Program Competition stream (Coach of New Competitors, Coach of Developing Competitors)
- Overall performance in coaching at their facility, zone, and National levels
Selection Process
- The nomination should be based on the nominee's entire past experience
- Achievements during the past year should be emphasized
- The PGA of Ontario Awards Committee will select a recipient based on the criteria
Eligible Categories
- All Class "A" Members and Apprentice Professionals in good standing excluding the following: Class "A" Life Professional and Class "A" Retired Professional
NOTE:
All nominees MUST have a current Police Record Check (within the last three years) through ISB Global (OneBadge). If you completed the Police Record Check with ISB Global as part of the OneBadge process within the last three years, no further action is required.
Please note: Results of the Police Record Checks are sent to Darcy Kral, the PGA of Canada's Privacy Officer, who will confirm receipt with the PGA of Ontario.
If you have NOT completed the Police Record Check as part of the OneBadge process, please follow the below steps to complete it:
Steps to log into your ISB Global Services (One Badge) account with the PGA of Canada:
1. Go to https://cp.dashboard.isbordercenter.com/login
2. Enter your username and password.
- Username: Your name, for example, JohnDoe
- Password: whatever you changed it to
- A 6-digit code will be emailed to your email address on your PGA account. Enter this code to log in.
- Forgot your password? You can reset it at https://cp.dashboard.isbordercenter.com/forgot-password
3. Click on My Tasks
4. Under Mobile Identity Box - Complete your Police Record Check with oneBADGEsport using your phone. Use the photo app to access the link from the QR Code and complete the check itself on your phone.
* It could take up to 3 business days to obtain the results.
