 Carlos Verde – Communication Professional

Carlos Verde is the Communications and Marketing Manager at The YORK Club, one of Canada’s top private dining clubs.

He previously served in similar roles at The Thornhill Club and Scarboro Golf & Country Club, where he helped to launch a new mobile app and website respectively while enhancing the clubs’ digital platforms. After hours, he works as a ring announcer with United Boxing Promotions and enjoys sports, history and art.

Jeff Hammond – Head Fitness Trainer

Jeff Hammond is the Head Trainer at The Thornhill Club. He has previously served as a PGA Assistant Professional at The Thornhill Club and Beacon Hall. In recent years, he has carved out the opportunity transition to a full-time position in Fitness.
In addition to training a substantial percentage of the Thornhill Club membership, he currently works with a USGA champion, collegiate golfers, and a member of Team Canada's Young Pro Squad.

Jeff Germond – COO Mississaugua G&CC

Jeff has accumulated over 35 years of private club management experience including senior roles at the St. Thomas Golf & Country Club, Markland Wood Golf Club,  Hamilton Golf & Country Club, the National Golf Club of Canada, the St. Catharine’s Golf and Country Club, and currently the COO at the Mississaugua Golf & Country Club where he has held the position since 2016.  Jeff is also the recent National Past President of the Club Management Association of Canada as well as the Past President of both the Ontario Branch (2016-17) and the Southwestern Ontario Branch (2002-03) of the Canadian Society of Club Managers.

Jeff has been married to his wife Sally for 34 years and have three daughters, Rebecca, Daniella, and Jamie. Jeff is also passionate about food, an avid curler, and remains a frustrated putter.
