Born and raised in Guelph, Ontario, Billy fell in love with the game while playing as a Jr. at Victoria Park West Golf Club. After becoming one of the regions top junior golfers, he moved to play at Puslinch Lakes Golf Club in Cambridge, Ontario to be a part of the legendary program under the leadership of Jack and Joyce Leggatt.
Billy's work trail began at Victoria Park West at the age of 12 until he was 16, he then moved across the road to Victoria Park East and a year later began work at Guelph Lakes Golf Club.
During his 3 years at Georgian College he worked at Blue Springs in Acton and continued working there for 3 years after graduation. In 2006 Billy Moved to the Niagara region and after one year as an Assistant, he found himself as the Head Professional at Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club which is North America's Oldest Course. Billy has been in that roll since and has become the longest standing Head Professional in club history.
