Briggs comes from Towson University, where she spent the last five seasons as the Head Women's Golf Coach.

While at Towson, her team saw much success, including a second place finish at the Navy Fall Invitational during the 23-24 season and a highlighted 2nd place at the 2021 ECU Pirate Collegiate Classic. Briggs recruited one of the top amateur players from Spain Odette Font Garcia who currently holds the low scoring record and overall low score of -5 at Towson and recently went on to win the Big South Women’s Golf Championship. Before Towson, Briggs was the Head Coach at Longwood University for five years. Her teams received the Big South Sportsmanship Award in 2017 and 2018 alongside being a recipient of the NCAA Public Recognition Award. This honor is bestowed on teams with an NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports accompanying a perfect 1000 APR.

A native of Fonthill, Ontario, and member of the prestigious course Lookout Point, Briggs posted early low rounds placing second at the Ontario Juniors and was named to the provincial and inter-province teams. Briggs excelled at athletics in high school, being named the Female Athlete of the Year for her graduating class at Notre Dame in Welland. And was named to the Wall Of Fame.

Briggs is a certified Class A Professional through the PGA of Canada and has logged over 10,000 golf industry hours. Her golf experience spans over 20 years as a player and coach, including her four years on the women's team at Grand Valley State University. Her career at GVSU included an NCAA Tournament win and four straight Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) academic and athletic All-Conference awards. As captain during her freshman year, she helped guide GVSU to a runner-up finish at the NCAA DII Tournament while earning All-GLIAC honors.

Before coaching at Longwood, Briggs came to Towson from Vancouver, British Columbia, where she was a certified professional golf coach at the international golf training center GolfTEC. Briggs has been affiliated with the PGA of Canada for over ten years and has competed in Women's PGA Canada Tour events, recently Briggs was the low female professional at the 2021 PGA of Canada Head Professional Championship. Briggs looks forward to competing in California sectionals and additional PGA women’s events in the west over the coming years.

Briggs' resume outside of golf is equally impressive. She is an accomplished skier and a Red Bull Crashed Ice competitor and was a member of the GVSU club ski and hockey teams. Briggs was a member of British Columbia Ski Cross Team in 2009 and has trained with the Canadian National Olympic Team.

In 2004 she traveled to Duluth, Minnesota to compete in the Red Bull Crashed Ice Event - a sport that combines downhill skiing and ice skating - and placed third in the women's division. Recently, Briggs attended and was highlighted as an eligible player for the 2024 PWHL Draft held in St. Paul Minnesota.
