About

Travis is the head teaching professional at Eagle Valley Golf Course & Golf Academy and Head coach of the Brock University Varsity Golf team. Graduating from the Golf Management program at Keiser University, Port St. Lucie, Florida, in 2012. After returning home to Niagara and joining the Professional Golfers Association of Canada, he became a PGA of Canada Class “A” Professional in 2019. In 2022 Travis was awarded Junior Leader of the Year by the PGA of Ontario provincially and then Nationally by the PGA of Canada (Jack McLaughlin award). The Junior Leader of the Year award recognizes the Professional who is a leader in junior golf and who reflects the ideals of those who work with youth.

Specializing in teaching and coaching Travis teaches full time, year-round at Eagle Valley, having accumulated 9000 coaching hours. He creates and oversees the daily operation of Eagle Valley Golf Academy programs. He has a great ability to listen to each individual, young and old, and teach them in a way that relates to them personally. His positive attitude and humor bring a quick comfort level to students creating a bond as a coach, friend and mentor.

Eagle Valley operates 5 junior programs throughout the summer that follow Golf Canada’s Long Term Player Development Program. Throughout the summer, Travis teaches a variety of age and skill levels, from beginner to scratch and professional players. In addition to summer lessons and programs, Travis offers full winter programs using Eagle Valley state of the art academy with Trackman Technology, allowing students the best opportunity to develop their skills year-round. Whether you are a competing player looking to continue the development of your skills or new to the game, Travis’ off-season programs can be designed to fit any student’s needs.

Travis was part of the original team to bring U.S. Kids Golf to Canada with the Niagara Local Tour and Canadian Invitational in 2012. As Tour Director, Travis has grown the U.S. Kids Golf Niagara Tour to over 100 players per event locally. The U.S. Kids Golf Canadian Invitational, an international championship, has grown to be the largest junior golf event in Canada with 250 players from around the world. Travis also has the privilege of travelling to Pinehurst, North Carolina each summer to work at the U.S. Kids Golf World Championships with over 1600 children, under the age of 12, competing annually. In 2023 Travis was awarded by the U.S. Kids Golf foundation as a Top 50 coach.
