Bill was accepted into the "Life Member" category of the PGA of Canada at the end of the 2018 season. Remaining active in the golf community, Bill is now the Head Golf Coach of the Georgian College Grizzlies in Barrie, Ontario. Bill was recognized as the OCAA Golf Coach of the Year in 2021.

Bill was the PGA of Canada Head Professional at Barrie Country Club from 1992 to 2018. Bill was recognized as the Canadian Club Professional of the Year in 2008. In spring 2017, Bill was recognized as a Titleist "Difference Maker" in their promotional campaign.

Bill's first Head Professional job was at Royal Woodbine Golf Club in Toronto when it first opened in 1991. Prior to that position, Bill had been the Associate Professional at The National Golf Club of Canada. While at The National from 1981-1990, Bill was mentored by Canada Golf Hall of Fame member Ben Kern.

Bill first Assistant's job was at South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club in 1979 and 1980.

A solid and consistent performance on the golf course has been a part of Bill's Professional career over the years. Bill won the Ontario PGA Senior Spring Championship in 2011, and he finished 3rd on the Senior Order of Merit in both 2010 and 2011. In 2019, Bill finished T-17th in the PGA of Canada Senior Professional Championship (71-73-72) and was T-7th in the 60+ age category. In 2020, Bill finished 3rd overall, and 2nd in the 60+ age group, of the PGA of Ontario Senior Championship.

Bill and Carolyn have been married since 1984 and have two children, Heather (1990) and Darryl (1992) and one granddaughter.
