ELIGIBILITY

  • Open to all PGA of Ontario Members in good standing. 
     
  • Priority will be given to PGA of Ontario members until Sunday, June 21, 2026 at which point if spots are remaining, they will be awarded to out-of-zone members residing in Ontario on a first-come-first-served basis. If you are an out-of-zone player interested in competing, please contact Kristine Schmidt at kristine@pgaofontario.com to be put on a wait list.

The team must consist of one member who is:

  • Class “A” General Manager
  • Class “A” Head Professional
  • Class “A” Director of Golf
  • Class “A” Director of Operations
  • Class “A” Head Teaching Professional
  • Class “A” Director of Instruction
  • Class “A” Head Golf Coach

AND

One of their employed:

  • Class “A” Professional
  • Class “A” Assistant Professional
  • Class “A” Associate Professional
  • Class “A” Teaching Professional
  • Class “A” Assistant Golf Coach 
  • Apprentice Professional

Both members must be from the same facility. Maximum two teams per facility can be entered.

At the discretion of the Tournament Committee, any Head Professional / General Manager / Head Teaching Professional who does not employ a PGA of Ontario Apprentice / Assistant / Associate may partner with a professional from another facility that does not employ a PGA of Ontario Head Professional / General Manager / Head Teaching Professional, provided all category requirements are met.

CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD

  • The championship field for 2026 will be comprised of a maximum of 60 teams of two.

APPLICATION SCHEDULE & ENTRY FEE PROCEDURE

  1. The registration deadline is Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 11:59 PM EDT (Eastern Daylight Time). Entries will not be accepted without full payment of the entry fee.
     
  2. All players must register individually. Applications can be submitted through your online member account by using the official application form available at www.pgaofontario.com.
     
  3. The application fee, as outlined in the fee schedule below, must be submitted along with applicable taxes. Please note that all entry fees are subject to HST (HST# R106865660).
     
  4. The PGA of Ontario accepts the following payment methods: VISA, VISA DEBIT, and MASTERCARD.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

  • Cancellation/Refund Policy – No refund will be provided after the tournament/event tee sheet has been released to the players and/or posted on the PGA of Ontario website. Please note this means that regardless of the circumstance, a refund cannot be provided once a player commences play.
     
  • A refund may be provided in the following circumstances:
  1. A full refund will be provided if a player withdraws from the event due to medical reasons no later than 10:00 am on the Friday before the event. The refund will be issued once the PGA of Ontario office receives a doctor’s note.
     
  2. A full or partial refund will be provided due to extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. The PGA of Ontario Tournament Committee will review all submitted supporting documents to provide a fair and equitable resolution in a timely manner.
     
  3. A full refund will be provided if the cancelling player/team finds an eligible* PGA of Ontario member/team to take their place.
  • It is the cancelling player’s/team’s responsibility to find an eligible* PGA of Ontario member/team to replace them and notify the PGA of Ontario office no later than 24 hours before the event starts.  
  • The cancelling player’s/team’s refund will be processed once the replacement player/team has paid their entry fee in full.
  • If the cancelling player’s spot is NOT filled 24 hours prior to the event’s start time, a refund will not be issued.

FORMAT

  • 1-6 Better Ball, 7-12 Alternate Shot, 13-18 Scramble
    • Alternate Shot: Select a Drive Alternate Shot: both Professional’s play tee shots, the best ball is selected, the golfer whose drive was not chosen hits the second shot, continuing alternating until the ball is holed out.
    • Penalty strokes do not affect the order of play in alternate shot.

YARDAGES

  • Men, 59 Under 6,500 yards maximum
  • Men, 60+ 6,300 yards maximum
  • Women, 59 and Under 6,000 yards maximum  
  • Women, 60+ 5,800 yards maximum

PLAYOFFS

  • The Championship tie will be decided by a “sudden victory” playoff immediately following the conclusion of play. If still tied after 1 hole, the Championship will be decided by shootout from 100 yards. One shot per competitor, closest to the hole and on the green will declare the Champions. 

PRIZE MONEY – TIES

  • In the event of ties, prize money will be divided equally among those tied, except that if a competitor wins a playoff for the Championship, that player will receive first-place prize money.

CHECK-IN WITH TOURNAMENT CONVENOR

  • Players are to check in at the 1st tee no less than 10 minutes before their tee time.

CARTS AND ON-COURSE EQUIPMENT

  • Carts are included.  Players must adhere to the host facility cart rules.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

  • A post-round meal is included.

SPECIFICATIONS OF CLUBS AND THE BALL

  1. List of Conforming Driver Heads: Model Local Rule G-1 is in effect.
    Penalty for making a stroke with a club in breach of this Local Rule: Disqualification.
     
  2. Groove and Punch Mark Specifications: Model Local Rule G-2 is in effect.
    Penalty for making a stroke with a club in breach of this Local Rule: Disqualification.
     
  3. List of Conforming Golf Balls: Model Local Rule G-3 is in effect.
    Penalty for making a stroke with a ball in breach of this Local Rule: Disqualification.
     
  4. Replacing Club that is Broken or Significantly Damaged – Model Local Rule G-9 is in effect.

TRAVEL

  • The PGA of Ontario assumes no responsibility for entrants' travel arrangements. The PGA of Ontario advises entrants not to book travel or room arrangements before confirmation of tournament acceptance unless those arrangements can be cancelled without penalty.

DRESS CODE

TIME OF STARTING

  • All players in a group must be present and READY TO PLAY at the time laid down by the Committee. The order of play is not relevant. READY TO PLAY is defined as being on or near the player's first tee accompanied with the necessary equipment needed to put a ball in play. Notification by a PGA of Ontario Rules Official will be given to late starters on the first tee or as soon as practicable.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG POLICY

Team Event Alcohol Policy

  • The PGA of Ontario will allow the purchase of alcohol from the host facility during team events only. This policy will be reviewed following each event and if any issues arise (including, but not limited to, professional conduct, alcohol abuse, or liability), this policy will be revoked immediately.
  • Penalties will be issued based on any professional violating Liquor Laws, our Tournament Policy and/or the PGA Code of Professional Conduct and Safe Sport Policy.

Drug Policy

  • The PGA of Ontario will abide by each facility's drug policy.

ANTI-DOPING POLICY

  • The PGA of Ontario has adopted the Canadian Anti-Doping Program set by Sport Integrity Canada. For further information please visit www.sportintegrity.ca
