The 56th playing of the PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf heads to the Greater Toronto Area this week, where a full field of 102 of the country’s top PGA of Canada professionals will compete May 26-28 at Bayview Golf & Country Club in Thornhill, Ontario.

A field highlighted by four-time LPGA Tour winner and Canadian Golf Hall of Fame member Lorie Kane, as well as a number of noted up-and-coming players, will tee it up July 2-4 at Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto.

Just 24 hours after setting the new record on the Gold Course at Wigwam Golf Club with a 10-under 62, Burns now sits atop the leaderboard at -17 after firing a 7-under par 65 in the second round.

This year's championship features a 50,000 USD purse and an exemption into the PGA TOUR's Bermuda Championship for the overall winner.

The RBC PGA Scramble is back, with more local qualifying opportunities than ever before, and a brand-new Regional Final announced at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley! 

Four players—including a pair of amateurs—are tied atop the leaderboard at -3, with 17 players at even par or better.

The PGA of Canada Foundation is awarding five Ian Webb Scholarships, worth $2,000 each, in support of PGA of Canada Members and Apprentices (or their immediate family) pursuing post-secondary education. Learn more and apply here.
