PRO-FILE: Chris Dickenson
2024 COACH OF THE YEAR
Get to know Chris Dickenson, Director of Instruction at The Ontario Golf Academy (OGA) at Whistle Bear Golf Club.
Growing up with a golf course just steps from his backyard and countless memories of playing with his dad, Chris didn’t start golfing competitively until about 15 years old — but once he did, he fell in love with the game, and the rest is history.
Guided early on by Doug Lawrie, Chris discovered a love for coaching and the team environment that continues to drive him today. Now working with high-performance juniors, he’s known for his humble, team-first approach and “we, not me” mentality — always celebrating the success of others before his own.
In this week’s PRO-FILE, Chris shares what it means to be part of the Whistle Bear team, and the behind-the-scenes work that creates a truly world-class coaching environment.
