World Handicap System

Monday, March 15 @ 10:00 a.m. ET
Webinar

In 2020 the World Handicap System was implemented in countries all over the world. The World Handicap System aims to bring the game of golf under a single set of handicapping rules and provide a more consistent measure of players’ ability between different regions of the world.

Some key features being introduced:

  • Net double bogey (formerly known as max score)
  • Playing Condition Calculation (how weather is attributed to daily input of scores)
  • Safeguards to limit a rapid increase in one’s handicap index

PGA of Ontario members in good standing who attend the webinar in real-time and submit the survey following the session (within 48-hours) will receive 3 Professional Recognition Program points.
