2024 COACH OF THE YEAR - Get to know Chris Dickenson, Director of Instruction at The Ontario Golf Academy (OGA) at Whistle Bear Golf Club. Growing up with a golf course just steps from his backyard and countless memories of playing with his dad, Chris didn’t start golfing competitively until about 15 years old — but once he did, he fell in love with the game, and the rest is history.

When Team British Columbia captured gold at the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John’s, NL, it was a moment of pride not only for the athletes, but also for the PGA of Canada coaches and managers guiding them from behind the ropes - for British Columbia, it was coach Conner Kozak. 

Ashleigh Shadagopal picked up golf during COVID because of the mandate that players could only play with members of the same household. She didn’t want her husband to have to play alone.
