It’s a weekday morning at St. Andrew’s East Golf & Country Club. With a ‘no-tee time’ policy, members arrive at their own pace before heading into the pro shop, where they are greeted by the friendly staff tasked with managing the tee throughout the day.

Sometimes, the player atop the leaderboard is the one who can simply whether the storm. That was exactly the case on Friday at the PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf and Supported by G&G Brands, as windy conditions led a difficult day of scoring at Playa Paraiso in Cancun, Mexico.

PGA of Canada professional Wes Heffernan is set to compete in his eighth RBC Canadian Open after earning an exemption as the top-ranked player on the PGA of Canada Player Rankings supported by ECCO Golf. The Calgary native will join a strong contingent of Canadian talent at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley this week.
