Sunday marked a historic moment in Canadian golf, with Team Canada taking home the bronze medal in the mixed team event—the first-ever medal for Canada at the Pan Am Games.

It wasn’t the stroll to the finish line Jim Rutledge had hoped for, but in the end, the 59-year-old from Victoria captured the PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada.

Thru two rounds at Carleton Golf and Yacht Club, Rutledge sits atop the leaderboard at -11, three shots clear of his nearest competitor Ken Tarling of Ontario.
