The PGA of Canada is thrilled to welcome Akash Patel to its staff as Managing Director of Championships & Events. Patel will work alongside Championship Manager Matt Mueller to conduct the associations five National Championships, beginning next week at the 100th playing of the BetRegal PGA Championship of Canada

The PGA of Canada is deeply saddened by the passing of Jocelyne Bourassa, the Shawinigan golf legend and PGA of Canada honorary director who influenced the history of our sport in Québec and across the country for nearly sixty years. 

Emma de Groot’s interest in golf started with the cart. While she would hit a few shots when her family played few holes, it was driving the cart and the post-round milkshake that first drove her passion. 

Today, Gord Percy was named the 49th president of the PGA of Canada at the association’s Annual General Meeting. The PGA of Canada, first established in 1911 is the second oldest and third largest professional golf association in the world.

The PGA of Canada is pleased to provide an update regarding the 2021 National Championship schedule. While the 2020 National events were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the association will attempt to conduct it’s five National Championships in 2021, as long as it is deemed safe to do so.
